Children's Sunday School
Vista Ridge UMC adopts the philosophy that Christian education, linked with the worship experience, is a core element in making disciples of Jesus Christ through building relationships with God and neighbor. Our focus is creating an atmosphere to apply biblical principles to daily life, through various formats, and for all ages, providing for the formation of faith within the larger community. Nursery is provided for children, ages 0 to 23 months, during all worship services.

Adult Sunday SchoolAll classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:45 am
Into the Word - Portable #1 This is an inter-generational class in which participants read a small section from a book of the Bible each week and discuss its meaning both within the biblical context and in contemporary life. Major themes and narratives from many books, from Genesis to Revelation, are included in a one-year time span. No prior reading is required for each class, although bringing an open heart and a Bible are strongly encouraged.
Christianity Today - Portable #2 This class is open to all ages and is respectful of everyone's opinions. Christianity Today will break for the summer and will plan together the curriculum for next fall when we start back in August.
Open Door - Portable #3 This class consists mainly of individuals and couples ranging in age from 35 and better with children of all ages. This class is committed to helping each other know God in a deeper way through a combination of Biblical study, theological and ethical discussions, and community outreach.
Christian Relationships - Portable #4 Description: This class is for young (or young at heart) couples to explore the Christian foundations for the relationship between themselves, their significant other and God. Studies focus on God’s plans and purposes for love, marriage and family. Couples span from married with kids, married with no kids, engaged, and dating. The group also enjoys spending time together in fellowship and church ministries and is often together outside of Sunday mornings with these activities. Current Study: Making Love Last Forever – by Gary Smalley
Christian Dedication Study - Room 123 of Fellowship Hall Vista Ridge UMC has implemented a new adult Sunday School Class, "Christian Dedication Study Class." The class will be studying Apostle Paul's letters, First and Second Thessalonians and Philippians. The class will engage in the study of the three epistles beginning with a historical review, purpose of the letters and the Word he brought to the people in Thessalonica, Greece. If you thought you knew the Apostle Paul, please join us to find out what motivated him to carry the message for our Lord-Jesus Christ.
