Disciple Bible Studies

Disciple Bible Study (DBS) is a comprehensive study involving daily reading and a class discussion once a week. The program was started in a Methodist Church in Flower Mound in 1986 and has grown around the globe and in many other Christian denominations. Classes typically follow the same general schedule as the area schools. They begin in August and finish in May. The commitment is great, but the value is even greater. Classes that VRUMC has offered:

DBS-1 (34-week grand sweep of the entire Bible)

DBS-2 (32 weeks on Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts)

DBS-3 (32 weeks on the Prophets and the Letters of Paul)

DBS-4 (32 weeks on The Writings, John, and Revelation)

JESUS IN THE GOSPELS invites believers to look at Jesus in each of the four Gospels and ask the question "who is the Jesus that you see?"

CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS studies what is at stake in what the church teaches and how it makes a difference in their own lives, what it means to be Christian, and where we as Christians stand.

See the church calendar for current meeting times New classes are formed every August.
Check back during the summer for additional information regarding new class offerings and times.
