There are a group of men and women of VRUMC who gather to study the Scriptures, praying for needs and concerns of the member and friends of Vista Ridge, the surrounding community, and the global church community. They are the church's intercessors - the gatekeepers, the ones who stand in the gap for others. These Scriptures are the foundation for the ministry:
- 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NRSV) - Pray without ceasing.
- Isaiah 55:11 (NRSV) -So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not
return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the
thing for which I sent it.- Jeremiah 33:3 (NRSV) - Call to me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and
hidden things, that you have not known.- 1 Peter 5:7(NRSV) - Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
